CONNIE

The pristine white hats worn by clinical providers in years past drew Connie’s eye to the professional image of dentistry. Her fascination with teeth pulled her into the field of dentistry in 1968.

After completing her CDA training at the Dobbins Technical Institute Connie was immediately offered a position at the Temple dental school.

Her expertise landed her a position in her favorite program, the Periodontal/Endodontic graduate department. She became the supervisor of this department; in her own words “this was the time of her life”.  After ten successful years she moved on to a private practice continuing to oversee all facets of dental assisting for another decade.

It seems that every ten years Connie has been given an opportunity to visit another facet of dentistry. The position led her into dental market research. This position gave her insight into aspects and thought processes specific to the general dentist.A decade later the business was sold, she and twenty of her co-workers were unemployed.

At this juncture in 1997 she and Dr. Smith became team mates. Returning to chair side assisting she learned the latest techniques specific to the practice of periodontics, especially Implant dentistry.

At the ten year mark Connie could not imagine leaving Dr. Smith, so she reinvented herself and moved to the administrative team. This move has allowed Connie to view patients from a different perspective while still providing clinical guidance to patients. She hears your concerns and enjoys supporting you through the scheduling and administrative aspects of their therapy. Connie’s soft quiet nature provides a soothing foundation for our practice.
